Her family name, 'Yuzuki', is derived from the words connect and moon. She, along with Kizuna Akari have an astronomical theme along with the idea of connecting people. She was developed as an adult or mature sounding vocal. As such, Yukari had a lot of focus from the team for a number of years and this help diversify her voice greatly. They focused on growing the character and vocal in a variety of different ways.
The team kept Yukari the focus for the first 7 years, only touching upon their next vocal on Yukari's 5th anniversary. According to Vocalomakets member, Kagome-P, she is a cup size A or B. Her age, weight, and height were supplied in 'ボカロPlus vol.4'. She is loosely inspired by the legend of the Moon rabbit. The English title is 'She unites you all with her voice'. The concept for Yukari is 'People who are related to the VOCALOID connect the sounds/moon to one another,' (VOCALOIDに縁のある人達が音（月）を結ぶ).
